So, what's the role?
Based at their Adelaide HQ and reporting to the VP of Finance, the Financial Controller will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. You'll play a key role in preparing management reports and group consolidations, managing audits and external advisors, and providing insights that drive commercial decision-making.
It's an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and ambitious finance professional with some leadership experience who's ready to step up and take ownership of a finance function in a complex, international environment.
What you'll take ownership of:
* Preparing monthly management accounts with variance analysis and insights
* Consolidating group results including foreign subsidiaries
* Leading annual audits and statutory reporting
* Maintaining and improving accounting policies and internal controls
* Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and banking relationships
* Managing cash flow and treasury operations
* Managing R&D tax incentive processes
* Overseeing outsourced payroll across multiple countries (AU, UK, US, Canada, Switzerland)
* Managing risk and insurance policies
* Supporting investor information requests and reporting

You're a CA/CPA-qualified finance professional with solid experience across financial control, compliance, and reporting. You have a keen eye for detail, strong technical capability, and a commercial mindset. You enjoy working in dynamic, evolving environments and are resourceful, forward-thinking, and eager to learn.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Proven experience in financial control and compliance
* Strong technical accounting and analytical capability
* Experience managing audits and working with external advisors
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence with Xero and G-Suite
* The ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams
* A vibrant, proactive, and growth-oriented approach
