About the Role
We are seeking a Fleet Mechanic/Drill Fitter to work on underground rigs, associated equipment and vehicles in Western Australia at a client site. The role involves 12‐hour day shifts, with an 8:6 or 14:7 fly‐in/fly‐out roster.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repairs on underground rigs, MDR range of drill rigs, and Newlands Erebus Mobile Rigs.
* Maintenance and repairs of heavy and light vehicles.
* Conducting preventative maintenance tasks and keeping records.
* Maintaining spare‐parts stock levels and performing time and maintenance record keeping.
* Creating work orders.
Qualifications & Skills
* Extensive mechanical maintenance experience, vehicle maintenance and hydraulic repairs.
* Experience carrying out drill and/or vehicle maintenance.
* Knowledge of electronic control systems.
* Qualifications in a related field (e.g., diesel or mechanical fitter certification).
* Background in maintenance and repairs of light and heavy vehicles.
* Basic understanding of electrical circuitry and PLC controls.
* Fire‐suppression qualification (highly advantageous).
* SIBS training (advantageous).
* Basic computing skills.
* Current valid driver's licence and national police clearance (less than 6 months old) or willingness to obtain one.
* Demonstrated personal commitment to safety.
