Purpose of the role
Overview of Role
Creative Lead is a senior position and is responsible for leading and growing Creative capabilities and delivering award-winning work in Australia. This role entails guiding team members in taking briefs, arranging and running brainstorming sessions to deliver effective solutions, crafting mock-ups, preparing for and taking part in presentations, as well as executing ideas. The person in this role plays a crucial part in the senior management team by ensuring that the agency consistently delivers Creative and forward-thinking solutions.

In addition to upskilling the Creative capabilities of current team members, as our client roster grows and revenue is attributed to Creative input, you will be able to hire and build out your dedicated Creative team.
Core responsibilities
Creative Design and Content
1. Oversees the creation of high-quality and engaging content and Creative outputs, providing knowledgeable quality control and guidance to their practice
2. Consistently develops Creative elements that match the deliverables list
3. Leads in producing Creative and strategic visions for clients
4. Works with clients to develop and implement an impactful design and content strategy, delegating responsibilities to direct and guide wider team members where possible
5. Works with content specialists to improve own and others knowledge of content trends, driving a commitment to excellent story-telling
New Business
6. Actively contributes to the new business process in collaboration with the Managing Director and/or the local and regional leadership team, making key decisions and playing a crucial role in selling TEAM LEWIS credentials throughout the tender process
7. Leads Creative element of credentials and pitches for clients, developing Creative concepts in line with strategic insights and messaging
Digital / Social Media
8. Actively promotes the use of digital products internally whilst developing the uptake of services offered by TEAM LEWIS, including specialist solutions provided by the digital team
9. Uses social media to recognise trends and proactively promotes new tools, solutions, and processes to continuously evolve and optimise client PR campaigns across the business
10. Works collaboratively with other teams increase the utilisation and selling of digital services
Team working and development
11. Takes overall leadership responsibility for upskilling Creative capabilities of wider team, including coaching, supervision, assessment, and reviews of all team members
12. Helps build a high calibre, talented and motivated Creative team - nurturing and preserving the TEAM LEWIS culture
13. Sets strategic team objectives on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
14. Defines deliverable client objectives and sets standards of excellence for all client activity, driving commitment from all levels of the team
15. Acts as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximise strengths, improve weaknesses and support career development
16. Works with the People team to recruit high calibre candidates into the team and develop and initiate hiring strategy in line with projected organisational requirements
17. Works with the People team to reward, retain and develop the team and resolve any performance issues, offering suggestions and improvements for the benefit of the wider local team
General
18. Runs and supports training sessions, with a view to maximising opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenues
19. Takes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its identity, values, and work
20. Supports the People team by promoting, both internally and externally, opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral scheme
21. Works with the People team to create succession plans and career paths
22. Maintains a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of industry (competitors’ and clients’) activities
23. Overall, acts as a guardian of best practice
About you
24. Driven to take ownership of and build a critical service for the agency
25. Knowledge of the software and applications involved in the Creative process
26. Relevant experience working in a B2B, corporate, consumer, or digital communications agency environment at a Director level.
27. Well-versed in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the wider communications landscape
28. Able to provide consultancy on Creative requirements as well as broader marketing strategy
29. Demonstrable success at securing new business and increasing client revenues
30. Considered, assertive and influential; a strong leader with the skills and aptitude to develop and motivate a team
