Boton Conveyor Services (BCS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Trade Qualified Fitter to join our WA mining operations on a 2/1 FIFO roster. Reporting to a Supervisor, you will work as part of a high‑performing maintenance team delivering safe, compliant and high‑quality repairs and servicing across conveyor systems and associated plant.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in workmanship, communicates clearly, follows systems and procedures, and consistently delivers work to the required quality standard and timeframe.

Mandatory Requirements
Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent
Current C-Class Driver's Licence (minimum)
EWP ticket
Ability to work a 2/1 FIFO roster
Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and work packs
Ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision
Strong work ethic and commitment to safe work practices
Current and valid tickets for:
* Confined Space Entry (RIIWHS202E)
* Working at Heights (RIIWHS204E)
* Gas Test Atmospheres (MSMWHS217)
* Construction White Card
Previous experience in mining or heavy industry
Exposure to ISO‑aligned systems including ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs on conveyor systems and site plant equipment
Perform conveyor component works including: pulley rebuilds/change‑outs, alignments, idlers, frames, impact beds, scrapers and skirt systems
Complete motor and gearbox change‑outs and perform laser alignments
Replace and service couplings (fluid, spider and spring)
Conduct lubrication servicing of pulleys, sheaves, gearboxes and motors
Rebuild and maintain ventilation fans and ducts, including pulley laser alignments
Maintain and repair workshop and site equipment including skid steers, excavators, fleet vehicles, forklifts, trucks and gensets
Use a wide range of tooling including oxy cutting/welding, hydraulic pullers, measuring devices, torque multipliers, rigging gear and specialty conveyor tooling
Support the transfer and installation of chutework, conveyor structures, frames, rollers, skirting systems, belt cleaning systems and tracking units
Complete all paperwork, documentation and reports to BCS quality and compliance standards
Participate in Toolbox meetings and maintain close communication with the Supervisor/Team Leader
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality and cost efficiency
Respond to emergency works as required
Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure tools and equipment are decontaminated as required
