Queensland Rail has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer in our SEQ Track and Civil Engineering team.
Based in our Corinda depot, this role is primarily responsible for providing technical engineering advice to external and internal clients, and for supporting a variety of track and civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities
* Work autonomously to provide engineering technical services to achieve objectives against KPIs, budgets and timeframes.
* Provide engineering support on a variety of track and civil engineering projects.
* Manage resources, consultants and contracts to deliver safe, timely and commercially sound engineering solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Practical construction experience; hands‐on worksite construction experience essential.
* Strong focus on safety and proven capability managing stakeholders, contractors, unexpected events and on‐site challenges.
* Previous experience in civil asset management, maintenance or construction; willing to learn and rapidly build capability.
* Experience providing engineering design and technical support, ideally within a rail workplace.
* High level of civil engineering support skills, including drainage, stormwater, civil works and track‐related activities.
* Proven relationship management skills, including negotiation, problem solving and influencing key stakeholders.
* Commitment to a value‐engineering approach.
* Ability to manage multiple high‐priority or high-pressure projects simultaneously with strong prioritisation skills.
Qualifications Required
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Standard working hours are 38 hours per week Monday to Friday. There may be occasional weekend or outside-hours work to support design activities.
