About the Role
The purpose of the Event Coordinator is to support the Event Response Manager operationalise Hollard's event response strategy. You will work alongside a team of multi-skilled Event Response Consultants and Team Manager responsible for actively assisting with initial response and management of events and catastrophes in accordance with the Event Response and Business Continuity Plans. You will work with stakeholders across Operations to deliver first class claims management of event and catastrophe claims to deliver timely outcomes that place our customers and brokers at the heart with a focus on proactive management of these claims to deliver on key customer, risk and financial targets.
Your duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Event Response Manager you will be responsible for:
Supporting the Event Response program of work by delivering continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Hollard's strategy and purpose
Engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders
Supporting the response and management of events and catastrophes in accordance with the Event Response and Business Continuity Plans, across Operations.
Monitoring of event and catastrophe claims to ensure reinsurance requirements are met
Overseeing internal and external event response communications
Providing communications and updates to internal and external stakeholders including partners, Insurance Council of Australia, service providers and all levels of Hollard's leadership teams
Supporting updates and improvements to Hollard's event response, including but not limited to updating the Event Response Plan, participating in scenario testing for event readiness and post implementation reviews of individual and overall event response.
Supporting the co-ordination of attendance of Insurance Council Australia forums, townhalls and recovery centres and deployment of our Hollard Event and Recovery Team following weather events and catastrophes
Actively participating in a team culture of timely and decisive action on claims to deliver outcomes that place our customer and brokers at the heart.
Adherence to compliance, including compliance with Hollard policies and procedures, to enhance effectiveness, mitigate risk and meet regulatory obligations.
About You
Strong knowledge of Insurance Claims disciplines, practices and products
Strong knowledge of Event Response and Business Continuity Plans
Proven experience in initiative management and delivery
Experience in event response management (desired)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
