If so, an opportunity has become available to become a part
of our Parking Compliance team, rostered between the hours of 7:00am and
7:00pm. Regular weekend overtime is a requirement of this role.
The successful candidate will require a good level of
fitness as many patrols are conducted on foot. You may be required to undertake
practical testing and a functional capacity assessment (physical).
About the Role
The Parking Compliance Team is based at the Dandenong Civic
Centre, however the role covers the entire municipality.
What does the Parking Compliance team do?
* Enforce
parking restrictions under the Road Safety Act & Regulations
* Respond
to and investigate reports of illegal parking
* Educate
the community on parking related matters
* Conduct
regular patrol records
* Assist
with the monitoring of Councils school crossings
If this role sounds like it could be for
you, previous experience in a customer service role and a good knowledge of
Part 12 of the Victorian Road Rules will be an advantage but is not essential.
Please ensure you address
the key selection criteria outlined in the position description as part of your

You may be required to
undertake practical
testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity
assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
The successful
candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will
be asked to consent to a national police
check (and where relevant an 'international criminal history check'), subject
to the operation of spent conviction laws. Please note that people with
criminal records are not automatically barred from applying for this position.
