About the role
Join Peel Community Care Inc' as an Aged Care Compliance and Support Coordinator. In this full-time role based in Pinjarra, WA, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation's aged care services meet all relevant compliance and quality standards. You will work closely with all staff to provide guidance and support, empowering them to deliver exceptional care to our elderly clients.
What you'll be doing
* Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all aged care compliance and quality assurance programs
* Monitor and report on the organisation's compliance with relevant aged care legislation, regulations and industry standards
* Liaise with government bodies and other stakeholders to address any compliance issues or concerns
* Provide training, coaching and support to care staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of compliance requirements
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of aged care service delivery by identifying and addressing areas for development
* Assist with the implementation of new policies, procedures and systems to strengthen the organisation's compliance framework
* Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives related to aged care compliance
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience in aged care compliance and quality assurance, preferably within a community-based or not-for-profit organisation.
* Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care Act and other relevant legislation and regulations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and educate others
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address compliance risks
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, aged care or a health-related discipline.
* Computer literacy, word processing and data base competencies
* Current Police Check less than 3 months old,
* First Aid Qualification less than 3 years old
* The right to work in Australia permanently with no restrictions
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the elderly
