Director – Policy
Location: Parliament House, Hobart, Labor Leaders Office

Are you an experienced policy operator with political acumen and leadership capability?
We are looking for a Director of Policy to join the team in the Labor Leader’s Office.
The position is full time and reports directly to the Chief of Staff.
Working in a small but talented team of advisers, and leading the work of the policy team, you will make a direct contribution to the policy direction of the Labor Opposition, both in the long term and in the immediate.
Research, data, economics are all part of the role, as well as providing support the Parliamentary Labor Party team in their work in the parliament and as Shadow Ministers.
You will do this through briefings, analysis of legislation, and preparation of policy documents.
A good knowledge of and relationships with key union, community and business stakeholders will also be required.
