A well-established builders merchant in Cork is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their busy and growing branch team.
This is a hands‐on, customer‐focused role that blends inside sales support with trade counter duties. Working in a close‐knit branch environment, you'll play a key role in supporting trade customers, processing orders, and assisting the wider sales team to deliver an excellent service.
This opportunity suits either an experienced sales professional or someone at an early stage of their career (graduate, trainee, or apprentice pathway), who is eager to build a long‐term career within the construction supplies and merchanting sector.
The Role
* Full‐time, on‐site position
* Salary range: €35,000 – €45,000, depending on experience
* Combination of inside sales and trade counter responsibilities
* Saturday work required on a rota basis
* Structured training and development available
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a first point of contact for customers via phone, email, and trade counter
* Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
* Serve customers at the trade counter, offering advice and product support
* Prepare quotations and pricing for trade and commercial customers
* Provide sales support to external account managers and key accounts
* Develop strong working relationships with trade professionals and commercial clients
* Maintain up‐to‐date product knowledge across building materials and supplies
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to meet customer and sales targets
* Support general branch operations in a fast‐paced environment
About You
* Strong interest in the construction, building materials, or trade supply sector
* Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service is advantageous
* Confident communicator with a friendly, professional manner
* Comfortable working in a varied role that combines sales and customer service
* Organised, detail‐oriented, with good IT and system skills
* Willing to support both inside sales and trade counter functions
* Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn and progress
* Flexible and available to work Saturdays as part of a rota
