This Brisbane based family owned valves business is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose problems, maintain, repair and build their customer’s valving solutions. This is a workshop based role with flexible hours.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
• Competent with measuring and test equipment
• Assemble, test and troubleshoot valves and other equipment per applicable codes and standards per manufacture and/or customer requirements
• Competent with diagnostic equipment such as HART calibrator
• Competent with tubing of pneumatic and hydraulic actuators
• Ability to calibrate positioners, test control valves, leakage, functional
• Competent to repair and calibrate safety relief valves to ASME VIII code
• Repair and test pneumatic and hydraulic actuators
• Assemble and test pressure regulators
• Attend field service calls at customer sites. Very limited travel interstate and overseas.
• Warranty repairs of returned equipment
To be successful, you will have :
· Instrument Technician, Electrical or Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification viewed favourably
· Experience in an industrial process control workplace – valve, instrumentation and automation essential
· Ability to diagnose and analyse problems
· Ability to operate a mobile hoist and forklift
· Excellent communications skills with the ability to talk to customers
