**About the Company**
Our client is an Australian-based marketing and insights consultancy that provide guidance and advice to a diverse range of businesses, which is grounded in consumer evidence. They are on the hunt for an experienced Accounts Assistant to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions in their Melbourne and Sydney businesses.
**The Role**
- Accounts Payable functions, including processing of supplier invoices and liaising with colleagues and suppliers where there are issues
- Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card accounts
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Recording journal entries
- Assisting with BAS and IAS returns, attending to bookkeeper's queries in a timely manner
- Setup and maintenance of clients and suppliers in MYOB
- Use of clients' procurement platforms to source purchase orders and submit invoices, where required by our clients
- A desire and willingness to learn, with strong problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in a similar Accounts role would be highly desirable
- Confident personality that enjoys speaking to key stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with MYOB is desirable
