We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to partner closely with our Perth leadership team and play a key role in driving client growth, strategic pursuits and profile‐raising initiatives across the office.
Working alongside the Perth Partner in Charge, Partners and Client Relationship Partners, this role is central to identifying opportunities, strengthening key client relationships and delivering high‐quality business development initiatives that support the firm's strategic priorities.
This is a highly collaborative, hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys connecting people, ideas and opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Building strong internal relationships to understand client priorities and recommend and deliver targeted BD initiatives
* Working closely with partners and practice groups to identify emerging opportunities and coordinate pursuits
* Supporting key clients, including involvement in the firm's Key Client Program
* Playing a hands‐on role in bids and tenders, including messaging, project management and drafting
* Supporting pre‐positioning activities for upcoming opportunities
* Implementing national BD programs at a local Perth office level
* Ensuring Perth credentials and client contact information remain accurate and current
* Coordinating and delivering high‐quality client events
* Undertaking client listening, feedback sessions and tender debriefs
* Acting as a connector across the office to share intelligence and encourage collaboration
Qualifications
You will bring a combination of strategic thinking and practical execution, along with:
* Proven experience in business development and client management
* Strong project management and facilitation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A solutions‐focused, proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and professional services leaders
* A collaborative, adaptable and agile working style
* A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to take ownership
Experience in professional services, legal or partnership‐based environments will be highly regarded.
