About Us

Catholic Education NT operates 18 Catholic schools across the Northern Territory — from Early Learning to Secondary — including five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre, and five remote schools. The Position

The Education Officer: Curriculum, Pedagogy & Assessment provides a multi‐tiered level of support for CENT schools through whole school and general curriculum planning, programming, instruction, assessment and reporting for educators across CENT Remote Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools, regional and urban schools. This is a full‐time permanent position, with commencement negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the implementation of the CENT Pedagogical Frameworks and Instructional Model.
* Work with school leadership teams, teachers, and support staff across Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools, regional, and urban schools to use data to improve student outcomes.
* Deliver professional learning to build teacher and assistant capacity in curriculum, pedagogy & assessment across discipline areas.
* Provide whole‐class instructional support through collaborative planning, team teaching, and formal and informal professional learning opportunities.
* Support educators to embed culturally responsive, trauma‐informed strategies that meet individual student needs.

About You

* Demonstrates excellence and leadership in general curriculum planning, programming and pedagogy including evidence of achieving successful improvement in learner outcomes.
* Has strong knowledge of, and experience with, the Australian Curriculum.
* Possesses high‐level organisational, analytical, and conceptual skills.
* Is able to work effectively in leadership and supportive roles and as an active team member.
* Has the capacity to design and deliver high‐quality professional learning for teachers.
* Has experience using data to inform targets, actions, and measures to improve student outcomes.
* Is willing to support the culture and Catholic ethos of Catholic Education NT.
* Is willing to travel to Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools, including remote travel.
* Holds (or is able to obtain) an Ochre Card, a current NT Driver's Licence, and a Bachelor or Master's qualification in Education.
