Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for heavy machinery, substations, and industrial control systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, testing, and optimization of electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in PLC-controlled systems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design and documentation: Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans for industrial installations
* Technical support: Assist engineers in the design, testing, and optimization of electrical systems
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in PLC-controlled systems
* Testing and analysis: Conduct electrical tests, perform complex calculations, and analyze data to validate system performance
* Cost estimation: Assist in estimating material quantities and project timelines
* Quality assurance: Inspect electrical installations and finished products for compliance with specifications
* Installation and maintenance: Assemble, install, calibrate, and repair electrical equipment
* Workshop operations: Undertake workshop duties, including wiring, testing, and modifying electrical assemblies
Requirements:
* Trade certification or diploma in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
* Proven experience in electrical drafting, machinery wiring, or industrial electrical systems
* Proficiency in CAD software for schematic and layout design
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform technical calculations and interpret test data
* Knowledge of industry standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and electrical safety regulations
