We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Biosecurity Manager to lead our team in the operational delivery of pest animal programs, travelling stock reserve management, plant biosecurity, and emergency responses across the Murray region.
About the Role
* Lead a team of biosecurity professionals in the operational delivery of pest animal programs, travelling stock reserve management, plant biosecurity, and emergency responses.
* Develop and implement regional strategic plans for pest animals and high-priority weeds in the Murray region.
* Engage a geographically dispersed and technically skilled team to implement pest animal, TSR work, and weed control programs in partnership with landholders and other stakeholders.
About You
* You will have tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to primary industries or equivalent experience in leadership and management of services to primary industries.
* You will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and lead teams toward effective, innovative outcomes.
* You will have proven experience in program-level strategy development, operational planning, and budget management.
* You will demonstrate an understanding of the economic and environmental impacts of pest animals and weeds on land use.
* You will have effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills to support delivery of biosecurity and invasive species control programs.
