This role ensures smooth operation of technology systems across campus, fosters a positive user experience for staff and students, and supports the learning community of GSHS.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the school's ICT infrastructure, including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of systems
- Provide technical advice and hands-on support for staff and students using ICT equipment (laptops, desktops, iPads, printers, etc.), aligned with departmental and manufacturer standards
- Deliver in-service training to staff in applying ICT tools effectively to enhance student learning
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, maintaining a customer-focused approach
- Conduct preventative maintenance, as well as routine and emergency repairs to ICT facilities
- Keep accurate records of technical services, inventory, and maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively with regional and central support staff to troubleshoot and manage complex technical issues
- Support network infrastructure: switches, wireless access points, data outlets, and cabling (depending on local expectations)
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in supporting and maintaining ICT systems, including hardware, software, and peripherals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service for both students and staff
- Ability to deliver training or coaching to staff in the use of ICT tools
- Knowledge of server hardware configuration and networking systems (LAN, WAN, wireless)
- Experience with remote support tools, or managing workstations and servers remotely
- Understanding of network security protocols
