The role of Sustainability Officer is pivotal in developing and implementing strategies to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.
Responsibilities & Expectations
* Lead internal governance initiatives, promoting strong company values and inter-departmental collaboration.
* Establish and manage sustainability programs, develop energy and water policies, and conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
* Collect feedback on existing initiatives, encourage participation in new projects, and prepare educational materials for employees.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, assist in meeting sustainability targets, and record data for monthly reports.
* Maintain documentation for sustainability programs, monitor emerging sustainable technologies, and provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
* A degree in a relevant field with 3 years' experience, preferably a BSc or BCom with attention to detail, methodical approach, and strong problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills, with experience in sustainability and proficiency in MS Excel.
