Job Summary
Perform and support MRI clinical activity as part of the Medical Imaging Department at Prince of Wales Hospital. Attend the MRI roster and may be required to rotate through other imaging modalities as part of a 24/7 rotating on‐call roster.
Responsibilities
* Conduct MRI examinations in adult and paediatric populations.
* Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures and operate Siemens scanners.
* Take a leadership role within the MRI team and participate in teaching other radiographers.
* Develop and update MRI protocols and advanced imaging techniques.
* Participate in on‐call roster and provide supervision for junior staff.
* Maintain patient safety, quality assurance and record keeping.
Selection Criteria
* Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Radiation Practitioner.
* Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate Master in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
* Proven knowledge and proficiency in complex MRI procedures without supervision.
* Experience in teaching, training and supervising other radiographers.
* Demonstrated ability to train and support MRI and other imaging modalities in a team environment.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Initiative, independence and problem‐solving expertise.
* Active participation in development of MRI techniques and scanning protocols.
Essential Requirements
* Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate Master in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
* Demonstrated ability to operate MRI equipment safely and independently.
* Experience working with paediatric patients and advanced MRI techniques.
* Commitment to quality patient care and safety.
