Football South West (FSW) is the newly established governing body for football in the South West region of Western Australia. With over 10,000 participants and 4,000 registered players, we are dedicated to making football the most inclusive, accessible, and community-driven sport in the region. We aim to provide quality football experiences for all, regardless of age, gender, ability or background.
We are now seeking a visionary and hands-on General Manager to lead operations, grow participation, and strengthen the football experience for all.

Your Role
AS General Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth, development, and sustainability of football across the South West. Reporting to the Board of FSW, you will:
* Strategic Leadership: Deliver FSW's strategy in alignment with Football West and national frameworks.
* Competitions & Programs: Oversee well-run competitions, grassroots programs, and talent development pathways.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clubs, schools, local councils, community partners, and sponsors.
* Club Development: Support clubs in governance, compliance, and development through education, mentoring, and initiatives such as Club Changer.
* Participation Growth: Drive participation across juniors, seniors, female football, and non-traditional formals like walking football and school programs.
* People & Culture: Lead and support a small team, fostering a values-based, collaborative culture.
* Financial & Governance: Manage budgets, ensure compliance, and report to the Board on performance, risks, and opportunities.
About You
We are looking for an outcomes-driven leader who brings:
* Proven experience in sports administration, football operations, or regional development
* Demonstrated skills in financial management, reporting, and governance
* Strong experience managing competitions, programs, and/or club development
* Ability to build and manage productive stakeholder relationships
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to support and grow small teams
* High-level organisation, planning, and problem-solving ability
* Strong communication and advocacy skills across diverse stakeholders
Desirable: Qualifications in sports management, business, or related fields; knowledge of football
