Senior Business Analyst – Digital Transformation

Powerdata Group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major Digital Transformation Program, focused on improving community safety, policing capability, and cross-agency service delivery.
This is a contract role working across complex, high-governance environments, collaborating with stakeholders across law enforcement, government agencies, and technical delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business analysis activities across digital transformation initiatives
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather and validate business, functional, and operational requirements
* Analyse and document current and future state processes, workflows, and service improvements
* Develop high-quality artefacts including requirements documentation, process maps, and traceability matrices
* Support solution design, system integration, and delivery alignment
* Conduct stakeholder walkthroughs and secure approval of deliverables
* Support testing, including UAT planning, execution, and validation of business outcomes
* Contribute to change management, business readiness, and adoption activities
* Ensure compliance with governance, documentation standards, and security requirements
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering large, complex digital transformation programs
* Strong expertise in:
o Requirements elicitation and documentation
o Business process modelling and analysis
o Testing and system implementation support
* Experience mapping business needs to technology solutions, including identifying risks and gaps
* Demonstrated application of human-centred design principles
* Operational staff
* Executives
* Technical teams
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capability
* Experience working in highly governed or regulated environments (e.g. government, law enforcement)
* Proficiency in tools such as:
o Visio, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
o Balsamiq or Figma
* BPMN 2.0 or formal process modelling frameworks
* Experience in policing, justice, or emergency services
