We are seeking a proactive and passionate health and safety professional to join our national health and safety team.
Job Description
* Support operational leaders on risk management and mitigation strategies.
* Build health and safety capacity by providing specialist advice, support and coaching to operational teams.
* Roll out and implement the health and safety strategy and business unit plan.
* Facilitate and manage incident response, analysis and learnings.
* Support operations in preparation, management and response to regulatory compliance inspections, audits and statutory reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Constructively work with operational leaders to identify and mitigate risks.
* Develop and maintain a culture of health and safety within operational teams.
* Implement and roll out the health and safety strategy and business unit plan.
* Manage and facilitate incident response and analysis to ensure learning opportunities are captured.
* Support operations in preparation for and management of regulatory compliance inspections and audits.
* Ensure assurance audits are completed as per the audit program and monitor closeout of actions.
Requirements:
* A proactive approach with a willingness to partner with and support operational teams.
* Proven experience in a similar role with strong skills in incident investigations and facilitating learnings from incidents.
* Experience in a high-risk environment with prior experience in quarries, concrete or mining highly regarded.
* Prior exposure to dealing with regulatory bodies.
* Experience with implementing systems, risk management programs and successful organisational change within complex environments.
* Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety.
* Superior interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and communication skills with a natural ability to build solid relationships.
