About The Role
The Maintenance Fitter is a Full-time position, based at Wantirna South, Victoria. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role is to provide effective maintenance and repair of plant and equipment to achieve agreed plant performance levels including availability, reliability, cost, safety, and quality.
In This Role You Will
Promote a Zero Harm safety culture and comply with Company Policies
Consult and Work with others across the site to achieve results.
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Proactively identify, diagnose, and repair breakdowns.
Actively participate and assist in equipment upgrades and installations.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects and activities.
Participate in Toolbox Talks, actively taking part in resolving operational and WHSE issues.
Identify and maintain the maintenance spare parts and consumables inventory.
Assisting in ensuring regular maintenance programs are conducted in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard.
Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
What You Bring To The Role
Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the Mechanical Fitting trade.
Trade Qualified in a Mechanical discipline (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering-mechanical trade or Mechanical Fitting and Turning Trade Certificate).
Demonstrated safety knowledge and compliance in a manufacturing environment e.g., Performing Take 2's, writing Job Safety Environmental Analysis / Safe Work Method Statements / Work instructions, Issuing permits.
Ability to follow plans and schedules.
A proactive and flexible approach – nothing is a hassle for you
Basic PC skills / Competent in SAP PM or similar CMMS
Prior experience with store and spares management will be highly regarded.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong team player with the ability to build positive working relationships.
