The Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead a high-impact project within a prominent State Government department. You will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end delivery of a Payroll and/or Human Resource system implementation. This is a business-critical project requiring deep experience in vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and governance within a government or highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

* Lead the full lifecycle delivery of Payroll and/or HR system implementation projects
* Oversee and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting
* Drive strong vendor engagement and performance management to ensure successful delivery
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, and IT
* Ensure alignment with public sector governance and compliance requirements
* Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to keep delivery on track

Skills | Experience

* Project Management experience, including delivering projects in a senior capacity
* Demonstrated success in delivering Payroll or Human Resource system implementations
* Strong experience working within or with State Government agencies
* Exceptional stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills
* Familiarity with structured project delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
