The Role: Business Analyst
* Assist with budget development and allocation, provide advice to senior management through the budget cycle, and monitor financial performance throughout the year.
* Prepare and reconcile returns to ensure compliance with taxation obligations.
* Support the team to identify improvements in resource management within the Department of Health.
* Provide analysis and research on budget, financial management, taxation and financial reporting processes.
You will need to:
* Under the direction of the relevant Manager, provide advice on budget development, monitoring and reporting, and related issues.
* Undertake projects to review Business Unit budget allocations and other research and analysis on taxation, superannuation and budgetary matters.
* Assist with producing timely, accurate and compliant taxation returns, remittance of taxes, and completion of associated reconciliations.

Additional Information:
A permanent full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Salary information available upon request.
