Definition Studios is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our production team in Byron Bay. This role is a key logistical position, supporting the planning and execution of our domestic and international shoots and ensuring the smooth movement of crew and equipment across multiple countries.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised production professional who thrives in complex logistical environments and enjoys working across international productions. While the role is primarily based in our Byron Bay office, there may be opportunities to assist on location for selected projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate logistics for international productions, including crew and equipment movements across multiple countries.
* Manage travel arrangements such as flights, accommodation, baggage requirements, carnets, and visas where required.
* Prepare and distribute call sheets, movement orders, and production documentation.
* Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping providers.
* Coordinate equipment freight, including import/export documentation and customs processes.
* Support production teams before, during, and after international shoots.
* Maintain clear communication with producers, crew, and external partners to ensure schedules and logistics run smoothly.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience coordinating crew and equipment logistics for film or television productions.
* Strong understanding of call sheets, movement orders, and international travel logistics.
* Experience managing airline baggage requirements and specialist equipment transport.
* Knowledge of freight and shipping processes, including importation and exportation of equipment.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.

Additional Information:
* This is a contract role for 9 months, with an optional 3-month extension
* The role is onsite in Byron Bay, NSW, relocation costs are not included.
* International travel cost covered
* Requires a valid passport with a minimum of 2 years validity
* Applicants must hold a current, unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
* Due to the international travel requirements of this role, applicants will be required to disclose any criminal history as part of the recruitment process. Any disclosures will be assessed in relation to the inherent requirements of the position.
