The Role:
We're looking for an ambitious Junior Account Manager to bridge the gap between learning and independent client management. This role offers real responsibility managing small to medium client accounts while receiving mentorship from our experienced team. You'll spend approximately 50% on client management, 30% on strategy & execution, 10% developing team members, and 10% on business development activities.
* Independent Account Ownership: Manage small to medium client accounts end-to-end
* Exceptional customer service is key
* Conduct monthly progress meetings and maintain proactive client communication
* Develop SEO/SEM strategies for assigned accounts with oversight from senior team members
* Coordinate implementation with our fulfillment team to execute digital strategies
* Prepare and present monthly client progress reports with accuracy and insight
* Monitor client satisfaction levels and identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
* Undertake keyword research and competitor analysis
* Track and analyse campaign performance using industry-leading tools
* Optimize website content, landing pages and paid search copy
* Collect data and report on traffic, rankings and other SEO aspects
* Contribute to process improvements and team best practices
* Keep up with SEO trends & Google algorithm changes
Requirements:
* 1-2 years agency account management or digital marketing experience
* Demonstrated experience managing client relationships
* Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ads
* Working knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush preferred)
* Competency in WordPress and basic website management
* Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret campaign data
* Must be detail-oriented, organised, and results-driven
* Understanding of SEO fundamentals (on-page, off-page, technical)
* Collaborative mindset that thrives in team environments
* Genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service
* Most importantly, a deep passion for all things SEO and Search Marketing
Bonus Skills (favourable but not essential):
* Google Ads or Google Analytics certification
* Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Knowledge of conversion optimisation principles
* Previous experience in a mentoring or training capacity
