About The RoleAs the Response Network Manager, you'll lead the operations and readiness of Sonder's NSW, VIC, and ACT responder network - a critical function in ensuring our members receive timely, high-quality support when and where they need it most.You'll oversee the full responder lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to training, accreditation, rostering, and ongoing engagement.
This role combines people leadership with operational precision, ensuring our responders are prepared, compliant, and connected to our purpose.What You'll Be DoingManaging responder compliance, mandatory training schedules, and accreditation records to maintain operational readinessDelivering and monitoring training programs that build and sustain responder capability and confidenceMonitoring responder performance and ensuring the team is always prepared to deliver high-quality supportBuilding and maintaining on-call rosters, ensuring sufficient coverage and clear communication across the networkLeading recruitment, onboarding, and assessment processes to grow and strengthen the responder teamDriving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and overall network performanceMotivating and guiding responders through strong leadership and influence, fostering engagementCommunicating clearly and confidently with a range of stakeholders and responders, adapting messaging to suit the audienceEmbedding incident management frameworks into daily operations and training, ensuring responders are equipped for real-world scenariosNavigating fast-changing environments with adaptability, sound decision-making, and effective problem-solving under pressureWho are we looking for?

Above all else, you - the ideal candidate - will embody the Sonder values and love working in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.What you bring to the team;Experience in emergency services, clinical leadership, military, security operations, or a similar high-accountability field5+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams, training, and operational processesA strong track record in managing compliance, accreditation, and readiness programsClear and confident communication skills, with experience presenting to frontline teams and senior stakeholdersThe ability to lead and influence without direct authority, building trust across a dispersed workforceA hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detailComfort navigating shifting priorities and making sound decisions under pressureAn understanding of incident management frameworks and how to apply them in training and daily operationsWhy join Sonder?
