FIFTY8GEORGE is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and creative person to join our team as an Embroidery Machine Operator.
FIFTY8GEORGE is a family owned business supplying a large range of apparel, custom uniforms, promotional products, signage, trophies and gifts throughout the Central West and beyond. Established in 1995, FIFTY8GEORGE has evolved over the years, however our goal remains the same: to provide quality products and excellent customer service.
This position is approximately 32-36 hours per week and is suited to someone who prides themselves on having attention to detail, a positive attitude and a strong ability to meet deadlines.
Duties include:
* Preparation of garments and operation of single and multi-head embroidery machines to produce high-quality designs according to order specifications.
* Preparation and application of heat transfer products using a heat press.
* Inspection of finished products to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
* Following production schedules and collaborating with other team members, customers, and suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time.
* Performing routine machine maintenance and general cleaning duties of the embroidery room.
* Conducting regular stocktakes of supplies in the embroidery room and raising purchase orders as required.
* Assisting with front of house duties as required, including serving customers and taking inquiries and orders over the phone and over the counter.
As this is a physical role, a reasonable level of fitness is required.
What we're looking for:
* Proficiency in English language (both verbal and written) and full rights to work in Australia are required.
* Previous experience operating embroidery machines and with embroidery software is preferred; training can be provided.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
* A positive, can-do attitude and approach to solving problems for our customers is a must
