Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine Consultant to provide expert advice and personalized recommendations to clients, including restaurants, hotels, and private collectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong wine expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to tailor wine selections to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Offer personalized wine recommendations and menu pairings based on client preferences and budgets.
Wine List Curation: Assist businesses in creating and managing curated wine lists that align with their offerings.
Wine Education: Conduct wine tastings and provide training on wine styles, regions, and pairings.
Wine Sourcing & Procurement: Help clients source wines and manage inventory.
Sales & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships and achieve sales goals.
Market Insights: Stay updated on wine trends and new releases.
Required Qualifications:
Wine Expertise: Knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and production methods. Certifications: Completion of a sommelier program or equivalent (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers).
Experience: 3-5 years in the wine industry, ideally in roles like sommelier or wine buyer.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Sales Ability: Proven success in sales and client relationship management.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple wine projects.
Passion for Wine: Enthusiasm for sharing wine knowledge and creating memorable client experiences.
