Training Alliance Group (TAG) is a leading provider of employment services and vocational education in Western Australia, including managing two RTOs - Australian Business and Vocational Training and Mining Transport and Construction Services. The organisation currently manages government contracts including Workforce Australia, Employability Skills Training, Self Employment Assistance, Transition to Work and Parent Pathways as well as delivering youth services, First Nations and social inclusion initiatives.
We are seeking a full-time fully qualified Social Worker, who will provide meaningful support to job seekers presenting multiple barriers to employment. Through conducting assessments and delivering both individual and group-based interventions, the Social Worker will provide ongoing support to individuals, helping to achieve their employment and education goals.
This role will predominantly focus on providing support to our Workforce Australia participants but will also involve support to all other Employment Services programs.
The role will work across multiple sites in the Perth Metro region and also must be willing to travel to Kalgoorlie.
Key duties of the role will include:
* Conduct assessments of participants who present with multiple and complex non-vocational and vocational barriers to employment;
* Provide supportive counselling and evidence-based mental health intervention as required;
* Collaboration with internal stakeholders to assist participants into education or sustainable employment outcomes;
* Delivery of mental health and life skills workshops to Workforce Australia participants;
* Liaise with external support agencies and professionals to complete assessments or make appropriate referrals.

Skills and experience
Essential:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW);
* Experience as a Social Worker, dealing with at risk and vulnerable client groups;
* Well versed and trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques
* Experience in Employment Services
* Ability to provide a Working with Children's Check and national Police Clearance;
* Valid WA Drivers Licence
Desirable:
* Experience in the Employment Services Industry, or similar;
* Demonstrated Case Management and Advocacy skills;
* Strong IT and Administration skills
