Aircraft Life Support (ALS) Fitter Training Instructor
We are seeking a qualified Aircraft Life Support Fitter to join our Aerospace business on the Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project based in Wagga, New South Wales. The role is permanent, full‐time and will offer five weeks of annual leave.
Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates who need to move to the area.
Key responsibilities:
* Undertake facilitation, delivery, and development of training in Initial Employment Training and Post Initial Employment Training
* Focus on Aircraft Life Support (ALS) and Core Aeroskills as an instructor
* Supervise trainees within a simulated working environment
* Maintain and service ALS equipment
* Provide specialist skills and advice to support Aviation Technical Training
* Develop and maintain relationships with the customer, government and industry partners
* Guide and mentor Defence trainees in best practice within the aviation environment
About you:
* Demonstrated industry experience as an Aircraft Life Support Fitter and qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer, preferably with extensive Defence Aviation Safety experience
* Current Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing or a Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or technical training instructor experience (highly regarded)
* Willingness and commitment to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
Clearances: As this is a Defence role, a security clearance is required. Applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply and may affect suitability.
