About the role
You will provide professional support to ensure optimal prioritisation of work within the Risk Analytical Systems (RAS) team which forms part of Group Risk.
The RAS team works alongside the Risk and Compliance Charter to support the Bank's transformational agenda, with a particular focus on upgrading and improving the current analytical platforms, and associated processes used across Risk and beyond.
Whilst the focus of the role is on model implementation, it will involve a wide range of data centric activities including analytics, DQ monitoring, ad-hoc data queries. This will provide a good opportunity to learn about Credit Risk and associated statistical modelling.
You will work with a broad cross section of stakeholders including the modelling team, the validation team, the reporting team, and various business units.
**In this role you'll get to**:
Create model implementation documentation including Functional Specifications and/or Testing documents
Build up a skill set in the Retail (SAS) and Non-Retail (Optimist) software, with particular focus on implementation
Succinctly document and present the impacts of implementation issues to key stakeholders
Support stakeholders with timely, accurate analysis to model related questions
Perform data analysis to ensure the quality of data used in modelling
Provide support and guidance with colleagues and stakeholders in the modelling and analytical software
About you
You will have strong analytical skills and abilities to interpret data. Demonstrate great communication skills, including prioritizing, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building. Display initiative and have a strong desire to learn.
**To be successful in the role you will have**:
Experience of analytical software e.g., SAS or Oracle and/or concepts and techniques is desirable
Advanced PC skills (Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Banking, finance, accounting, or information technology industry experience
Ability to inspect data to understand and articulate current business problems
Proficient in writing SQL (DML) against relational data stores with large volumes of data
