Deliver specialist women's health care in a growing Metro South service
Temporary full-time and part-time opportunities are available for Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook, within Metro South Health, commencing as soon as possible, with multiple positions available and potential for future temporary engagements.
About This Role
Your new role:
In this role, you will provide high-quality obstetrics and gynaecology care and contribute to leadership, education and continuous improvement, by:
* Providing comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology care across diverse clinical settings
* Working within multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective and patient-centred care
* Participating in consultant-led ward rounds, morning handover and after-hours and weekend on-call rosters
* Contributing to education and supervision of trainees and multidisciplinary staff
* Supporting quality, safety, audit and consumer engagement initiatives
* Participating in research, teaching and training initiatives aligned with best practice
* Providing services across a range of clinical settings, including outreach and community clinics, as required
This role also offers valuable exposure to outpatient hysteroscopy services delivered through the Logan Urgent Specialist Care Centre (LUSCC).
About You
You are a motivated and patient-focused specialist who values teamwork, teaching and continuous improvement, with:
* Fellowship (or near completion) of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), or equivalent
* Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
* Broad clinical expertise across obstetrics and gynaecology with the ability to provide high-quality specialist care
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
* A commitment to teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff
* Integrity, professionalism and a respectful, inclusive approach to patient care and workplace relationships
* RANZCOG trainees nearing completion of training and eligibility for specialist registration are encouraged to apply.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
