About Us
St Mary's School
offers a balanced curriculum in a child centred, friendly environment. The school is located in an urban setting on a large parcel of land with well-maintained and well-resourced grounds. The school has a strong Music Program which includes lessons and training for the school concert bands. Part of the Music program also includes 2 choirs, a Junior and a Senior Choir. The students enjoy many opportunities to be involved in sporting activities e.g. surf life saving and interschool sport, competitions e.g. eisteddfods. The school has a very good reputation in the local community as a school that provides a family centred atmosphere and a curriculum that caters for student needs.

Your Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic persons for this term-time position of
Administration Assistant
. This is a term-time continuing position for 17.5hpw, for an immediate commencement, or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

The Administration Assistant is a key role in our school office, providing exceptional customer service to new and existing families as well as supporting students, staff and the school leadership team in a variety of ways. Outstanding interpersonal skills, good attention to detail and effective organisational and technological capabilities are pre-requisites of the successful applicant.

The Administration Assistant will provide a variety of secretarial and administrative support which enables the maintenance of efficient administration systems which serve the educational function of the school.

About You
The successful applicant will have relevant qualifications and/or experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent time management skills, well developed interpersonal skills and a high proficiency of computer skills.

Mandatory Requirements

* A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
* A current First Aid Certificate
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
