The role
The role is a full‐time position working Monday to Friday, between 7am and 10pm across our four clinics in Canberra: Belconnen, Deakin, Woden, and Tuggeranong.
Role Overview
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check‐in procedures.
- Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
- Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
- Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers' compensation, and DVA.
- Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
- Training as a contact centre agent to assist as required:
- Answering phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
- Booking appointments across our four Canberra clinics.
What we're looking for
- Explicit verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
- Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
- A strong background in customer service.
- Ability to rotate across the four clinics in Canberra as required: Belconnen, Deakin, Woden, and Tuggeranong.
