We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Account Admin professional to join a fast-growing commercial construction company in Townsville.
This is a varied, office-based role where you will be the backbone of day-to-day operations, supporting administration functions while also assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks. You will play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes in a busy and dynamic construction environment.
You will work closely with management, project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring documentation, invoicing, and office systems are accurate, timely, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day office operations and general administration
• Support management, project managers, and site teams
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
• Maintain organised filing systems and records
• Coordinate office supplies and general requirements
• Assist with onboarding and staff documentation, Accounts Support
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
• Manage invoices, purchase orders, and approvals
• Support payment runs and invoice follow-ups
• Assist with reconciliations and month-end processes
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and external accountants
About you
• Experience in office administration or accounts support
• Comfortable with accounts payable and receivable processes
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero or MYOB)
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator across internal and external stakeholders
• Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
