The Role
As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in engineering, supporting, and maintaining Aruma’s technology environment. You’ll work across system provisioning, daily operations, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimisation to ensure our infrastructure remains stable, secure, and reliable.
A day in the life of a Systems Administrator…
You’ll support Aruma’s technology environment by engineering solutions, maintaining systems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day‑to‑day.
What You’ll Do
* Build and configure servers, systems, and infrastructure to meet project and operational needs.
* Maintain installation and configuration procedures and contribute to system standards.
* Recommend innovative or automated approaches to improve system administration.
* Monitor system health, logs, backups, and key processes daily.
* Perform backup, restore, archival, and housekeeping tasks.
* Provide Tier II/III technical support, troubleshooting complex issues.
* Apply OS patches, upgrades, and configure new services.
* Update software and applications as required.
* Perform performance reporting, tuning, hardware updates, and resource optimisation.
* Support data centre operations and monitoring systems.

Skills & Experience That Will Make You Stand Out…
* Bachelor’s degree (technical major) or equivalent technical qualifications.
* 3+ years’ experience in senior technical support or systems administration.
* Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking.
* Experience with virtualisation (VMware or Hyper‑V).
* Office 365 and Azure administration experience.
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain language.
