About the Role
As an Emergency Department Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth operation of the Emergency Department. Working within a fast-paced clinical environment, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate patient records, supporting staff and assisting patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy.
You will:
* Accurately register, update and maintain patient information across hospital systems
* Provide responsive front‐line reception and telephone support to patients, staff and visitors
* Support patient admissions, transfers and record management processes
* Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in line with SA Health standards
* Respond to enquiries and challenging situations with professionalism, tact and empathy
About You
You are a highly organised and customer‐focused administration professional who thrives in busy environments and can manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency. You will bring:
* Strong administrative, data entry and record management experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach
* The ability to work autonomously, use initiative and remain calm under pressure
* Experience delivering high‐quality customer service in a fast‐paced environment
* A commitment to confidentiality, teamwork and professional standards
