The Role:
Tradewind is excited to partner with an independent grammar school in Melbourne's West to appoint a dedicated Geography teacher for a full-time, ongoing role starting in Term 3 .
This is a rare opportunity to teach Geography exclusively, within a school renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to holistic student development. You'll inspire students through engaging curriculum delivery, developing global awareness and environmental understanding in a highly supportive and well-resourced setting.

Key Duties :
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Victorian Curriculum or VCE Geography Study Design.
* Teach core Geography topics such as physical landscapes, environmental change, sustainability, interconnections, and human geography.
* Integrate fieldwork opportunities, spatial technologies (GIS), and inquiry-based learning where appropriate.
* Support diverse learning needs through differentiation and scaffolding and well as encouraging critical thinking and geographic inquiry skills.
* Stay updated with current geographical issues, pedagogical strategies, and curriculum changes.
* Lead or support Geography-related excursions, camps, or sustainability programs.
* Promote student participation in competitions (e.g., Australian Geography Competition) or student-led environmental initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
* Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
* Appropriate Teaching qualifications
* Current VIT registration or the ability to become registered in Victoria as a teacher
* Proven experience in teaching Secondary Humanities/Geography essential
* Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years
* First Aid Certificate
* Valid driver's license
