Responsibilities
Work under the management of the head chef
Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of service.
Estimate amounts and cost of required supplies, such as food ingredients, efficiently.
Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
Arrange equipment purchases and repairs.
Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for catering orders.
Maintain and follow WHS procedures.
Check the quantity and quality of received products.
10. Work with the team to coordinate planning, budgeting, and purchasing of food operations.
11. Plan, direct, and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities when on shift.
