Are you available to hit the ground running? A key local government organisation is looking for an agile Information Management Officer for a critical short-term contract.
You will be responsible for the "front door" of our information flow-managing the classification and distribution of the organisation's centralised email account, electronic media, and hardcopy correspondence. Using our Electronic Document Record Management System (EDRMS), you'll ensure that information is captured, allocated, and stored with precision.
Responsibilities
* Inbox & Correspondence Management:
Triage and distribute high volumes of digital and physical mail across the organisation.
* Service Desk Support:
Provide Level 1 support for EDRMS requests, assisting staff with system queries and troubleshooting.
* Data Integrity:
Maintain, enter, and extract data from EDRMS, Pathway, and spreadsheets to support business operations.
* Compliance & Best Practice:
Ensure all records management aligns with the
State Records Act NSW
and internal policies.
* Ad-hoc Administration:
Assist with archiving, off-site storage retrieval, and basic procurement tasks (purchase orders) as required.
Requirements:
* Immediate Availability:
You must be able to start ASAP and commit to the contract through 30 June 2026.
* Records Experience:
1-2 years' experience in Records/Information Management (Local Government experience is highly regarded).
* Technical Proficiency:
Solid experience with an
EDRMS
(Pathway experience is a plus) and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Communication:
Ability to accurately summarise document content and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Efficiency:
A knack for meeting SLAs and managing high-volume workloads without compromising on accuracy.
* Education:
TAFE Accreditation in Recordkeeping or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Please note only applicants with full working rights in Australia and the ability to come into the office full time 5 days a week will be considered for this role. This role can pay between $35 - $40 + Super per hour.
