Bring your midwifery expertise to where it matters most. Based in Mount Isa with regular outreach to Doomadgee and Mornington Island, you'll provide holistic, evidence-based care to women and families across the pregnancy journey. This role offers a unique opportunity to strengthen community connections, deliver continuity of care, and provide clinical leadership within a supportive Midwifery Group Practice team.

Working with us
* Isolation bonus of AUD$3,500 for 1 year, AUD$10,500 for 2 years, and AUD$7,000 yearly thereafter
* 2 return airfares per annum (incl. spouse/dependents) to nearest east coast provincial city
* 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading/bonus
Compensation
* Base salary range $107,960 – $115,604 per annum plus MGP annualised 35% loading
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual

About The Role
As an Outreach Clinical Midwife based in Mount Isa, you'll provide advanced, evidence-based antenatal and postnatal care to women and families across Doomadgee, Mornington Island, and Mount Isa. Lead clinical practice, build strong community connections, and support high-quality maternity care across remote and regional communities.
Responsibilities
* Deliver culturally responsive care to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and diverse communities
* Provide seamless care across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods
* Lead clinical planning, coordination and referrals
* Drive effective multi-disciplinary communication for optimal outcomes
* Mentor, lead and educate maternity staff
Requirements
* Relevant tertiary degree and registration/licence as a Registered Midwife
* C class motor vehicle licence
* Pre-employment screening and criminal history checks
* Evidence of vaccination/immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis
* Period of probation may apply
