Salary Range: $72,413 - $77,931 per annum as per Classification HPCS 2.1 - 2.4

Our mission is to improve the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of the Aboriginal community in Darwin and surrounding areas.
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aboriginal SEWB (Social and Emotional Wellbeing) Support Worker (Youth) to join our team at Danila Dilba Health Service on a contract basis in Darwin, NT. This critical role will provide culturally safe and responsive support services to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal young people in the local community.
What youll be doing
* Provide one-on-one and group-based SEWB support services for Aboriginal young people, including counselling, case management, and referrals to other services
* Develop and facilitate therapeutic programs, workshops, and activities to promote the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal youth
* Build and maintain strong relationships with young people, their families, and the broader community
* Collaborate with other service providers to deliver a coordinated, holistic approach to supporting Aboriginal youth
* Maintain accurate client records and data, and contribute to ongoing service monitoring and evaluation
What were looking for
* Demonstrated experience in providing youth-focused SEWB or mental health support services, preferably within an Aboriginal and/or community services setting
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal young people and their families
* Strong understanding of the social, emotional, and cultural needs of Aboriginal young people, and the ability to deliver culturally appropriate services
* Qualifications in community services, social work, counselling, or a related field (or significant relevant experience)
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Northern Territory and/or Australian driver's licence

* 6 weeks annual leave per annum
