KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage LV Supervisors, trades and contractors across all operations.
Coach and develop supervisors and frontline teams to improve safety, quality and accountability.
Maintain effective workforce planning, recruitment, leave management and coverage.
Promote consistent standards, behaviours and expectations across sites.
Safety Leadership & WHS Compliance
Ensure compliance with WHS Act **** (WA), regulations and site standards.
Demonstrate visible safety leadership through field engagement and safety interactions.
Enforce high-risk work controls, including permits, isolations, confined space and hot work.
Lead and support incident investigations and close-out of corrective actions.
Ensure contractor and vendor compliance with site safety and induction requirements.
Maintenance Execution & Reliability
Oversee daily and weekly maintenance execution for LV and support equipment fleets.
Ensure preventive maintenance compliance and timely defect rectification.
Oversee tyre management practices, inspections and safe change-out activities.
Drive reliability improvement and defect elimination initiatives with engineering support.
Conduct regular field inspections to verify work quality and housekeeping standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Open Pit and Underground Operations to ensure fleet availability supports production.
Liaise with OEMs, contractors and service providers to meet performance KPIs and scope requirements.
Budget, Reporting & Performance
Manage LV maintenance cost centres, including labour, parts, consumables and contractor services.
Monitor performance and costs through AMT/SAP, providing variance analysis.
Contribute to annual budgets, forecasts and cost-reduction initiatives.
Support fleet rationalisation and standardisation to reduce lifecycle costs.
Report on fleet availability, compliance and performance metrics.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
S26 Ticket
WA C Class Driver's Licence (essential).
Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification in heavy plant.
Certificate IV Leadership / Frontline Management (desirable).
Experience & Skills
5+ years' experience in an LV or Mobile Maintenance Superintendent (or similar) role in mining.
Experience working in open-pit and/or underground mining environments.
Strong contractor management and commercial administration experience.
High competence with CMMS systems (AMT & SAP highly desirable).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
