About Our Client A West Australian SME engineering company, our client has been in operation for over 30 years and is now seeking to bring their Financial Controller function in-house.
Job Description Reporting into the Executive General Manager, this role will manage the company's end-to-end accounting function, with the key responsibilities including: Using XERO to oversee the day-to-day financial bookkeeping of the company.
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Manage cash flow and financial planning to support business objectives.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, including General Manager.
Manage Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll function.
The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will possess CA or CPA qualification.
XERO system experience (required).
Prior background working in a SME environment ($1-$20m).
Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
