Position Title: A&E Specialist
Summary Of Position
This position is primarily responsible for managing the A/E plan review process and tracking A/E construction documents through all project phases. It also manages pre-planning due diligence walkthroughs for remodel, takeover, or expansion projects, conveying notes to team members, Architects & Engineers. This role is vital for quality control, timeliness, and controlling changes and costs on projects.
Specific Responsibilities Include
* Monitor the A & E drawing process, including redline documents, meetings, and Bid Set reviews for various projects.
* Manage schedule and ensure accuracy throughout the process.
* Coordinate with Architects on plan due dates, walkthroughs, and distribution.
* Organize on-site walkthroughs with relevant teams and document meeting notes and plan changes.
* Communicate updates to Store Planning and involved departments.
* Coordinate Due Diligence processes in collaboration with the Architecture & Engineering Lead.
* Ensure completion and distribution of Due Diligence reports.
* Manage incoming bulletins and addendums, verifying work completion and resolving errors.
* Review fixture plan changes in relation to project status and A/E processes.
* Attend project walkthroughs, note issues, and work with teams to resolve them prior to project start.
Requirements & Competencies
* Bachelor's Degree
* 3+ years' experience in retail Store Development and Architecture & Engineering
* Knowledge of architectural designs, engineering concepts, construction methods, and building codes
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and customer service skills
* Attention to detail, initiative, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities
Travel: 5%-10% within the client store area.
