Clinical Nurse Educator Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in advancing nursing practice at our healthcare facility. This position is focused on delivering high-quality education and clinical supervision to ensure exceptional patient care.
This key professional coordinates, delivers, and evaluates clinical nurse education programs at the ward/unit level. Key areas of focus include orientation, transitioning programs for new staff, undergraduate and casual nurses, and ongoing education for existing staff.
In line with ANMC Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses/Midwives, this role provides clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice. The CNE ensures that all staff members receive the necessary support and resources to excel in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate, deliver, and evaluate clinical nurse education programs at the ward/unit level.
* Provide clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice.
* Orientate new staff and provide transitioning programs for undergraduate and casual nurses.
* Develop and implement ongoing education for existing staff.
