Role Overview
The main objective of this role is to develop and execute a strategic plan that fosters awareness and recognition of Canonical as a prominent player in the open-source and cloud industries.
* Identify potential partners within assigned territories and nurture these relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
* Leverage personal networks and prospecting skills to engage new partners and build upon existing connections.
Key Responsibilities
This position requires strong organizational and time management skills, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships, drive sales growth, and manage channel pipelines effectively.
* Develop customized go-to-market plans and commitments with key partners.
* Arrange and deliver comprehensive training sessions for resellers and distributors.
* Drive and manage the sales pipeline by fostering regular interactions with priority resellers and distributors.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology-related field.
* Relevant experience in software or technology sales within the specified market.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* A solid understanding of open-source technologies, including Linux and Ubuntu.
* A self-motivated individual with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* Detailed-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
