Introduction
We’re looking for a strategic and innovative professional to lead the development and implementation of Wannon Waters Climate Adaptation Plan to strengthen our resilience and embrace opportunities in a changing climate.
This is a two-year fixed-term full time position based in Warrnambool and comes with a generous salary of $99,465.31 to $110,954.39 p.a. plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you’ll:
- Oversee the development and delivery of the Climate Adaptation Plan collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support and monitor successful implementation.
- Lead the rollout of an effective employee engagement program to raise awareness and understanding of the program.
- Establish and oversee the monitoring and reporting processes to track the progress of the program against key milestone dates.
- Support Wannon Water and local community understanding and literacy regarding climate change implications for our service region.
Qualifications & experience
We’re looking for someone with:
- A solid understanding of climate adaptation and mitigation principles.
- Experience in developing complex plans, proposals and funding requests.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective and valued stakeholder relationships.
- Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
